Treatment Details
The Physiotherapist at Bayview Physiotherapy will start with an individual assessment during the Free Initial Exam in order to rule out any health conditions that may interfere with treatment and to determine the client's stage of cellulite. The stage of a patient's cellulite determines the amount of treatment required.

| Low Pressure is required to show dimpling. 6 - 8 treatments |
Medium Dimpling is visible when standing, but not while lying. 8-10 treatments |
High Dimpling while both standing and lying. 10-12 treatments |
As soon as the client's cellulite level has been established, the health practitioner will formulate a simple exercise plan, with nutritional recommendations and information regarding lifestyle modifications that will ensure the highest amount of success from the therapy.
Treatment sessions are performed once or twice a week. Most clients will see results after six or seven sessions.
Acoustic Wave Therapy works by activating the body's natural repair systems, results typically continue to improve for two or three months after the treatment is completed. We provide a free follow up exam after two to three months to assess the results.
Studies are showing these results to be long lasting, often for a year or more. However, with the natural aging process and the factors which contributed to the presence of cellulite in the first place may cause it to return. A "touch up" treatment can then be performed to reduce or even prevent it from re-occurring.
